Competing around the world in several endurance races, including a podium result at the 24 Hours of Dubai and a top-five result at the 12 Hours of Sebring, Ohio resident Seth Lucas is set for his SRO Motorsports Group-promoted Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS debut. Piloting an MDK Motorsports-prepared Porsche, Seth Lucas will fly the colors of Motul USA as he looks to earn victory in his team and series debut.
“I am excited to get my main series of focus started,” expressed Seth Lucas. “I have been fortunate enough to drive a lot of different vehicles over the past twelve months, but I am most excited about the MDK Porsche. I look forward to working with my new team, my new teammates, and in a new series for 2023.”
MDK Motorsports is Porsche centric sportscar team, operating teams in Porsche Carrera Cup, Porsche Sprint Challenge, and now GT World Challenge America. In their inaugural season (2022), MDK secured driver championships in both the Porsche Carrera Cup and Porsche Sprint Cup Challenge North America series. Operating out of the former racing shop for Meyer Shank Racing, the central Ohio-based MDK Motorsports team is led by owner and driver, Mark Kvamme, alongside his wife and team CEO, Megan Kvamme, and Team Principal, Will Bamber.
Lucas continued, “Along with a new team and a new car, I do have a familiarity for last year and that is the support from Motul USA. To have a large brand such as them ride along with me, and for me to act as a Brand Ambassador for them, is great and I hope that I will be able to reward them with a race win this weekend.”
Set to hit the track on Wednesday and Thursday for a pair of Promoter Test Days, official practice will commence on Friday. With two wheel-to-wheel races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday afternoons, qualifying sessions will set the grid for those races each morning.

Seth Lucas would like to thank MDK Motorsports, Motul USA, and Porsche for their support as we move onward into 2023.
