It was a winning weekend for Seth Lucas and Motul USA in the Trans-Am by Pirelli program. Taking on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, Lucas swept the GT class by scoring the pole position, fast lap, and victory to cap off a perfect weekend. Utilizing the event to maximize track time and continue his upward trend, the Motul USA backed driver will now shift his focus to the next event in three weeks’ time.
“It was a great race weekend for both results and my learning progress,” explained Seth Lucas. “To leave Mid-Ohio with a win is awesome, but it is also a huge boost in confidence for me. I am learning with each passing lap and thankful to be able to work alongside my partners Motul USA.”
After leading the pre-event test sessions and securing the pole position on Friday, Lucas went to work when the wheel-to-wheel racing commenced. Racing in the split SGT / GT class, Lucas was the star of the GT ranks. Leading every lap en route to the win, Seth was able to battle drivers with much more experience in cars that were quicker than his to add knowledge to his bank for the future.
Lucas continued, “We have some changes coming in my race program that will increase track time and help me continue my forward progress. I am thankful for the support in my partners as we move forward in 2022 and onwards into the 2023 race season.”
Next up for Seth Lucas will be a trip to Corning, New York, and the Watkins Glen International Raceway where he will take part in the GT4 America program over the July 22-24 weekend.
