PODIUM AND A PAIR OF TOP-FIVE RESULTS FOR SETH LUCAS AT SEBRING INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

It was another trip down south to the bumpy Sebring International Raceway and another podium result for the MDK Motorsports duo of Seth Lucas and Trenton Estep. Closing the penultimate event on the 2023 calendar with third and fourth-place results, Lucas and Estep will enter the season finale at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) in less than two weeks looking to claim the top step of the podium.

After qualifying third for race one and fifth for race two, Lucas and Estep maintained their starting spot in the first wheel-to-wheel race of the weekend and improved from the inside of row three on Sunday to narrowly miss the podium in fourth.

“It was a pretty uneventful weekend for us,” explained Lucas. “In the races, there were no yellow flags so restarts, where the action tends to happen, did not materialize. At the end of the weekend, we secured another podium result and two top-five finishes which we will add to our results resume.”

Entering the final weekend, the Lucas and Estep duo will look to move up in the championship standings where they currently sit in the fourth position. With a shot to finish on the end-of-the-year championship podium, that will be the main goal in Indy.

Lucas continued, “MDK Motorsports and Porsche have provided us with unbelievable support this season, and we can’t wait to finish the year strong. We have our goals set high for the final event of the season and look to turn our podium finishes into a victory.”

With less than two weeks until the October 5-7 event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Seth Lucas and Trenton Estep are in full preparation mode as they aim to end the season on a high.
