SETH LUCAS TARGETS PODIUM AT SEBRING RACEWAY THIS WEEKEND

With a handful of podium results to date in the 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS program, MDK Motorsports driver Seth Lucas is looking for more this weekend. Traveling to the Sebring International Raceway, a track that he has had success at in the past, Lucas and his co-driver Trenton Estep will be gunning for their first victory of the season at the old and bumpy airport facility.

“We have been on the podium several times this year and are currently fourth in the championship standings,” explained Lucas. “I would like nothing more than to reward the team with a victory this weekend with only two event weekends remaining.”

One point ahead of the fifth-place driving duo and only a single marker behind the third-place competitors, Lucas and Estep enter the weekend looking to gain the maximum amount of points possible. Mathematically still in championship contention, the pair’s focus will be to finish ahead of the cars they need to, to ensure they can finish on the championship points podium at the end of the year.

Lucas continued, “It is our first season driving together, and I feel that Trenton and I have done very well syncing up and battling at the front. The podium results have been great, but we really want to end the season in style.”

Set to hit the track Thursday for a Promoters Test Day, Friday will see two practice sessions. Saturday morning will see qualifying that sets the grid for both Saturday and Sunday’s wheel-to-wheel races with the first green flag flying Saturday afternoon.
